All Lines Technology is seeking a skilled and experienced Backup Engineer to join our team. As a Backup Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity, availability, and security of our organization’s data. Your primary responsibilities will include designing, implementing, and maintaining backup solutions using Commvault software. If you have experience with Commvault , but backed up to an HPE HW solution , we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities

Backup Solution Design and Implementation :

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement optimal backup and restore solutions.
• Configure and manage Commvault backup policies, schedules, and retention policies.
• Ensure data consistency, integrity, and redundancy across backup copies.
• Monitor backup jobs and troubleshoot any issues that arise.

Hardware Integration :

• Work closely with Data Domains as the primary hardware targets for backups.

Networking :

• Deploy and maintain backup solutions within the network infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot network-related issues affecting backup performance.
• Coordinate with network administrators to optimize backup traffic.

Operating Systems :

• Possess a solid understanding of operating systems, particularly Linux.
• Troubleshoot backup-related issues related to the OS environment.

Documentation and Reporting :

• Maintain accurate documentation of backup processes, configurations, and procedures.
• Generate regular reports on backup status, performance, and trends.

Qualifications

• Education : Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar).
• Experience :
• At least 3-5 years of solid experience working with Commvault backup software.
• Familiarity with Data Domains as hardware targets.
• Additional experience with HPE hardware solutions is a plus.
• Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, etc.).
• Exposure to Linux operating systems
