Description
The Maintenance Specialist II is a 12-month full-time career service position. This position is primarily assigned to the Pensacola Campus but may be assigned to work any of the campuses throughout the district.
The Maintenance Specialist II coordinates and participates in a variety of maintenance functions to include but not limited to HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
Responsible for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of assigned buildings and grounds areas throughout the district. Provides security of buildings and the maintenance of necessary supplies and parts.
Reports to the Facilities Manager.
This position will work with climate control systems to assist in daily operations and scheduling events, troubleshoot, diagnose and repair digital control systems and components, train and instruct support staff personnel, and monitor work performance for accuracy and completeness to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS : Graduation from high school or GED equivalency and four years’ experience HVAC, electrical, or plumbing;
and a valid driver’s license. Successful results of a criminal background check are required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS : Prefer experience in digital control systems, and operation and repair; and residential split package units from 1 to 10 tons.
SALARY RANGE : $29,775.00 ($15.27 / hour)
