The Operations Director (OD) envisions, implements, and guides the operational life of LCPC in all areas, including office management, finances, facilities, human resources, information systems, and marketing. The OD offers an expert approach to administration, a collaborative role to other leaders, and commitment to the ministry objectives of the church.

GENERAL DUTIES

· Work with the Pastor (Head of Staff) to clarify and advance the vision, goals, and strategy of LCPC from a top- level operational perspective.

· Supervise support employees/contractors, per the organizational structure of the church.

· Ensure that policies and procedures are current, accessible, and enforced.

· Facilitate staff excellence in operational and administrative matters.

· Guide volunteer leaders into operational processes of the church.

· Liaise with contractors, vendors, and local, state, and federal agencies. 

OFFICE

· Supervise the office staff/contractors/volunteers to promote a welcoming, efficient, and effective administrative environment.

FINANCES

· Supervise financial staff/contractors. 

· Be informed of the financial health of the congregation and make recommendations for improvements.

· Ensure finance leaders are resourced with data, trends, and reports.

FACILITY

· Supervise facility staff/contractors

· Ensure that the facilities are kept in “newness” condition through systems of cleaning, maintenance, and improvements.

· Ensure that our energy usage is efficient and economical. 

· Ensure campaigns aimed at facility improvement meet operational and administrative standards and goals.

HUMAN RESOURCES

· In consultation with Pastor, define, evaluate, and configure church staff positions.

· Supervise the support staff to the Pastor’s (Head of Staff) direction. 

· Supervise and manage contractors across all domains.

· Make recommendations to the Pastor to enhance staff morale and effectiveness.

· Maintain personnel files.

· Annually review and make recommendations regarding staff compensation in diverse and competitive forms.

· Provide administrative support for yearly staff evaluations, such as establishing dates and deadlines, and providing materials.

INFORMATION SYSTEMS

· Ensure the staff have adequate technology to complete ministry.

· In consultation with Pastor, identify, adopt, and implement church information systems (e.g., Planning Center, Microsoft, et.al.).

MARKETING

· Direct the marketing efforts of church, including online presence.

RELATIONSHIP

· Accountable to the Pastor (Head of Staff).

· Functions as supervisor to some staff members, per Organizational Chart.

· Functions as supervisor to contractors.

· Meets regularly with the session and some ministry teams.

· Offers operational guidance to all ministry teams, as needed.

EVALUATION

· Objectives set annually.

· Annual performance review with Pastor (Head of Staff).

· Financial compensation reviewed separately from performance by the Administration & Personnel Team.
