Mehta and Associates, Inc. (also known as MEHTA Engineering, an STV Company) was established in 1977 and has since been specializing in Construction Engineering Inspection (CEI) , Construction Management, and Civil Engineering services. Over the last four decades, MEHTA has successfully completed numerous large and complex transportation projects across Florida. Our clients include the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and other local agencies.

We are seeking an experienced CEI Senior Project Engineer (SPE) to join our CEI Team in Central Florida and be part of a growing organization! Our ideal candidate should have experience in managing CEI projects for the FDOT, Florida Turnpike Enterprise, and/or local municipalities.

Responsibilities, including but not limited to:

• Ability to: communicate effectively in English (verbally and in writing)
• Directing a highly complex and specialized construction engineering administration and inspection program
• Planning and organizing the work of subordinate and staff members
• Developing and/or reviewing policies, methods, practices, and procedures
• Reviewing programs for conformance with Department of Transportation standards
• Assist in marketing and business development efforts

Education and Experience:

• Civil Engineering degree and six (6) years of engineering experience
• Two (2) of those years involved in relevant transportation projects
• Master’s Degree in Engineering may be substituted for one (1) years of engineering experience

Licensure:

• Professional Engineer (PE) registered in the State of Florida
• Ability to obtain endorsement in the State of Florida within six months of Project NTP if registered in another state

Qualifications / Certifications:

• FDOT Advanced Maintenance of Traffic (MOT)
• CTQP Quality Control Manager
• Experience with Project Solve SharePoint (PSSP)
• Proficient in computer programs / engineering software necessary to perform these duties, such as Microsoft Office Suite , MAC, AASHTO Project Construction (PrC)
