Job Overview:
We are seeking compassionate individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals to support and provide care for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), living in our two residential homes located in Orange and Tustin.
Prior experience as a Caregiver, Home Care Aide, Direct Care Staff, Job coach, Direct Support Professional or similar experience caring for your own loved one would be ideal.
Our Adults with IDD are not viewed as clients, patients, or recipients of services, but rather they are friends, teachers, companions, and referred to as Core Members within the community.
Shifts Available:
We have plenty of hours and a variety of shifts available depending upon what you are looking for. Part time, Full time, AM's, PM's, Weekdays, Weekends and asleep Overnights. We also have a Live-In House Leader position available as well.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to Core Members through meeting personal care needs, including maintaining daily routines, performing cooking and cleaning together, managing medication, attending doctor appointments and ensuring their overall safety and well-being.
- Administrative duties include updating daily house notes, making Core Member chart entries, occasional grocery purchases, and assisting in the physical preparation of the facility and documents for State inspections and evaluations.
-Support Core Members in the development and maintenance of their relationships with housemates, Core Members' families, community members, and friends outside.
- Encourage healthy lifestyles, driving Core Members to events, planning fun activities, and fostering a spiritually fulfilling and relationship-oriented lifestyle.
Minimum Qualifications:
- At least 21 years old with a GED / High School Diploma.
- A valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
- Ability to pass a criminal record/Department of Justice background check (LiveScan).
- Ability to pass basic pre-employment physical and have negative TB test.
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and do up to 8 hours of daily standing, bending, and lifting.
Preferred Experience/Trainings:
- Basic understanding of the fundamentals of caregiving (prior caregiving experience as either a Direct Care Staff, Home Caregiver, Home Care Aide, Job Coach, Direct Support Professional or personal care for a family member would be great.)
-CPR & First Aid (or complete within the first week of hire)

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
