Vanguard Electric, LLC (VE), a Georgia based company, seeks a highly creative, organized and active person, with experience in High Voltage products development for the post of Product Development Engineer.

Mission and Job Description

The PDE is responsible for supporting the development of new High Voltage products, as well as updating

already developed products of good quality, technically compliant with applicable U.S standards , from highly capable OEM manufactures that are competitive in the markets covered by Vanguard.

The PDE is also responsible for the engineering support for existing product lines. Following is a list of the main functions and responsibilities:

Description of main functions

The PDE has the following main functions that are listed in a referential way but are no limitation

to any other reasonable task as required by the company.

Commercial Part

• Read and interpret technical documents such as standards and particular technical

requirements from customers.

• Maintain all product development projects up to date and properly documented in the

companies system.

• Be in constact contact with manufacturers to assure technical compliance of the products

they manufacture for VE.

• Be in direct contact with the company’s manufacturers to advance day to day

requirements related to product developments.

• Help the Sales engineers to clarify technical matters.

• Coordinates with Product Development Management and Logistics Management

departments in managing product samples, test schedules and technical support over

developed products.

Technical part

• Be proficient on the applicable standards and technical aspects of all High Voltage products the

company offers.

• Solve technical questions from sales department, either with their personal knowledge,

research or contacting the engineering departments of the manufacturers of the products

the company sells.

• Responsible for supporting the Product Development Manager.• Support the Product Development Department as needed in New product developments

as well as already developed products.

Reporting to

• Product Development Manager.

Work Hours

8am to 5PM with 1 hr lunch break

Travel

• Travel inside the U.S and abroad

Professional and Technical Requirements

• Electrical Engineer or related

• MBA or similar advanced business degree

• Very good level of oral and written English. Fundamental requirement.

• 4 year experience in high voltage product development.

• Excellent Microsoft Office skills and other similar programs.
