What it's like to be a Quality Control Technician at Roush Yates
You will be responsible for inspecting products to meet strict requirements using manual, visual, and attribute-based methods. Your keen eye for detail will be crucial as you report inspection results and generate Non-Conformance reports, ensuring that any deviations are addressed promptly. Operating and programming advanced equipment such as CMM, Vision systems, and Formtracer will be part of your daily routine, allowing you to work with cutting-edge technology. Additionally, your role will involve performing thorough data review on DCC data collected during inspections, contributing to our commitment to excellence and precision in manufacturing processes.
job qualifications
To excel as a Quality Control Technician at Roush Yates, you must possess a diverse set of skills and qualifications. This includes a minimum of 7 years of experience in Quality Control, along with 5 years of expertise in CMM Programming using software such as PC-Dmis or Calypso. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word is essential for effective communication and data analysis. Familiarity with common inspection methods, PPAPs, FAIRs, GD&T, and ISO standards is necessary to perform inspections accurately and efficiently. A Certificate, Associate's degree, or equivalent experience in manufacturing or a related technical field is required to demonstrate your knowledge and competency in this role.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
This individual must have good handwriting for documentation purposes. You must have the ability to work on repetitive tasks for a few hours at a time. We want you to be safe, so you will be required to follow company established safety procedures. This individual must meet minimum vision standards, corrected or uncorrected, as follows: Snellen 14/18, 20/25 or better, Jaeger Type 2 at 14 inches, or Ortho-Rated 8. Last, but not least, for ITAR compliance, all employees at this location must be a US citizen or a lawful permanent resident.
