Supportive Learning Group is Hiring a Learning Disabilities Teacher - Consultant Near Montclair, NJ

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and certified Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant (LDT-C) to join our team as a test specialist. The ideal candidate will have expertise in conducting and interpreting a range of psychometric assessments. This role requires a strong foundation in psychological principles and testing methodologies, particularly in educational settings. The Specialist will work independently to evaluate clients and provide detailed reporting to support educational planning and interventions.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychometric assessments, including but not limited to cognitive, developmental, and educational evaluations.
  • Prepare for sessions by reviewing client histories and setting appropriate testing environments.
  • Generate detailed follow-up reports and provide recommendations based on assessment results.
  • Work collaboratively with educational consultants and other professionals to integrate assessment findings into client educational plans.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of client information and adhere to ethical guidelines and standards as set forth by professional certification and Supportive Learning Group policies.
  • Keep accurate records of assessments conducted, including time logs and billing information.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to keep current with new testing techniques, tools, and best practices in the field of psychometrics.

Qualifications:

  • A valid New Jersey Learning Disabilities Teacher-Consultant (LDT-C) certification or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in conducting a variety of psychometric tests and assessments.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.

Compensation:

  • $75 per hour for the first hour of continuous testing services provided and $50 per hour for all other hours worked.
