Job Summary:

Seeking to hire a motivated individual for a first of its kind regional youth healthcare workforce project. Under general supervision this employee works for HealthForce Partners Northern San Joaquin Valley (HFP) and serves as a direct link between Modesto City Schools (MCS) and Stanislaus Partners in Education (SPIE) in accordance with the WeWill! K-16 funding contract. This is a two-year position responsible for leading a group of students through a strategic listening and involvement plan aimed at informing regional educators and employers alike on the key factors that elicit career interest and action in our youth. This understanding will enable them to better reach and engage all students and to ensure opportunities for success and economic mobility are made available through meaningful and lucrative educational and career pathways that address healthcare workforce shortages. This position is responsible for developing a student advisory council and serving as project lead through the course of the grant, and for the information collection, design, stakeholder participation, creation and release of all project deliverables.

Duties:

● Have a solid working knowledge of all the rules, regulations, and grant requirements that apply to the K-16 WeWill! funding grant

● Lead project from the initial brainstorming and research phase, straight through implementation and/or production, and to debriefing and reporting

● Create a project timeline and calendar and ensure all deliverables are on track and within specified grant timelines and budget

● Implement the overall vision for the project by managing the team of students, educators, employers and support staff involved in the project

● Promote and maintain a sense of teamwork and community between HFP community partners, SPIE and MCS, as well as other individuals relevant to the successful delivery of the program

● Develop and implement experiential trainings and curriculum for advisory board participants

● Recruit student advisory board participants through Modesto City Schools and marketing of the program

● Enroll participants in the program, conduct regular meetings and oversee their ongoing participation

● Survey participants and other students and maintain files and records required to manage the program

● Connect to or provide resources necessary to help participants fully participate in the process

● Effectively chart and document discussion and survey outcomes to create usable best practices manual

● Liaising with graphic designers to create website, print and digital tools

● Manage the production of any video or social media content

● Plan regional event to discuss and unveil project outcome

● Provide other duties as assigned

Minimum Job Requirements:

· Associate’s Degree

· Three years of relevant experience working with youth and/or families is preferred, experience with volunteers is desirable

· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

· Ability to develop, plan and implement short and long range goals

· Organized, detail oriented, self starter able to work with minimal supervision

· Demonstrated ability to work with culturally diverse populations

· Experience and enthusiasm for working with and supporting youth

· Reliable transportation

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

● Marketing and social media experience

● Event planning experience

● General knowledge of education systems, healthcare careers opportunities, community-based and social networks and resources

Other:

· Grant is project based and 2 years in length

· Position requires a flexible schedule (some evening and weekend work)

· Modesto City Schools’ background check performed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
