POSITION OVERVIEW:

M18 is seeking an Associate Director to join our Real Estate public relations team in Miami to work on luxury and residential projects in Florida. You will lead daily client relations, plan and execute day-to-day project deliverables, support, and lead junior staff, and conceptualize strategies, pitches, and media placements. You will work closely with client leads and internal staff, delegating to peers and junior staff and developing and advancing strategy with senior leaders. This role is ideal for someone who is well-plugged in the world of media, has a passion for real estate, architecture, and design and wants to take the lead on client initiatives and work.

Role location: This role is based in our Miami, Florida, office on a hybrid basis. 

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

As an Associate Director, you will: 

  • Develop and implement strategy and campaign planning for multiple high-profile client accounts
  • Establish and build relationships with local, national, and regional media outlets
  • Write and edit persuasive external and internal documents such as press releases, op-eds, fact sheets, talking points, and communications strategies
  • Craft and send pitches to relevant media outlets about client activities
  • Train and supervise junior staff and delegate work as required
  • Consult on creative partnerships, including brands, publications, organizations, and social media creators

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least 5 years of public relations experience, with agency experience in the luxury real estate field preferred
  • Experience pitching the media and demonstrated success in securing coverage for clients
  • Strong writing skills. Your background in written communication includes extensive experience developing sharp, compelling online content
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments at once, work quickly, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong aesthetic, point of view, and attention to detail
  • Exemplary working knowledge of all social and digital media platforms
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Photoshop

COMPENSATION

M18 offers competitive industry rate salary bands with the goal of retaining and growing talented individuals. 

  • Starting minimum: $90,000
  • Role cap: $100,000
