With the goal of improving product quality, you will function as a “hands on” lead person responsible for spearheading quality initiatives within our manufacturing sites. This role will work directly with our quality team to develop and implement standardized quality initiatives throughout all corporate locations. The focus will be on developing and implementing new and improved inspection techniques on multiple production lines.

• Research, identify and implement quality inspection solutions within manufacturing that quickly drive quality improvement.
• Work closely with plant quality teams to establish a corporate QMS framework that aligns with ISO9001.
• Investigate product complaints using appropriate root cause analysis tools.
• Monitor and track implementation progress of corrective actions.
• Analize complaint data to identify hidden trends and initiate corresponding corrective actions.
• Evaluate production testing & product returns and take appropriate action when deficiencies or anomalies are identified.
• Provide regular update to management regarding status of complaint investigations, corrective action implementation, and assigned projects status.
• Develop and document work instructions as required to support manufacturing.
• Visit customer sites and Greenbridge locations as needed to facilitate quality investigations.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in plastics or rubber manufacturing.
• BS in an engineering discipline (Mechanical preferred)
• 3-5 year experience as a Quality Engineer or in a Quality Improvement role.
• Demonstrated analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Direct experience with root cause analysis tools including PFMEA, 8D, Fishbone Diagram, FTA etc.
• Previous experience owning and driving CAPA investigations.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external customers. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to document and communicate processes clearly.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and use basic measurement tools.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel; pivot tables, statistical trending, data analysis etc.
• Proficient with Word and PowerPoint applications.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organization skills with the ability to perform multiple tasks and obtain results working within strict time frames.
