Job Title: RF Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking an RF Design Electrical Engineer to lead highly complex RF/Microwave activities including research, design, development, and verification of RF system architecture and RF payload hardware for Avionics and Space integrated communication systems. Responsibilities include evaluating customer and program needs to define and coordinate RF performance requirements with internal stakeholders, performing RF and high frequency/microwave detailed design, analysis, development and testing of hardware, developing technical documentation, and ensuring adherence to established engineering and company processes and procedures. The successful candidate will also be responsible for providing clear communication of design and development plans, supporting technical trade studies, generating proposals and RF system requirements, and continually researching industry trends to support roadmaps utilizing the latest technologies.

Hard Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (or equivalent) with a minimum of 3 years of prior relevant experience
• Graduate Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience
• Eligibility to obtain a US Security Clearance
• Advanced knowledge of critical performance characteristics of passive and active RF components such as amplifiers, oscillators, attenuators, mixers, filters
• Experience with design of RF components, including, power dividers, couplers, frequency converters, and power amplifiers

Soft Skills

• Ability to communicate effectively with technical peers, leads, and management
• Ability to execute work with minimal supervision
• Ability to identify development risks and mitigation strategies
• Ability to support technical trade studies
• Ability to provide analysis and technical review support during gate reviews and both internal and customer design reviews

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 12 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Melbourne, Florida.

Work Environment

This role requires a high level of independence and responsibility. The successful candidate will be expected to timely execute work per directions from project engineer or program manager and work across disciplines to ensure adoption of qualifiable designs with scalable manufacturing processes. The role requires the ability to complete high-quality work while keeping budget and schedule constraints on track.
