About UsWe provide statewide leadership of highly valued mental health & addiction prevention, treatment, and recovery at OhioMHAS!We are looking for team members who will serve compassionately, contribute & collaborate, deliver quality and be accountable.What You'll Do
  • Visits all referred resident units & charts residents' likes/dislikes, special diets, etc.
  • Responsible for doing &/or overseeing all documentation for Clinical Dietetics in patient Medical Record, including admissions, & regular updates as required
  • Reports regularly through administrative & clinical channels any pertinent information
  • Conducts studies/audits such as Food Acceptancy & makes recommendations based on results
  • Plans, evaluates, implements diets for clients
  • Responsible for all diets prepared & served, assuring meeting of standards in nutrition
  • Approves any changes to menu made by contract dietary services to assure overall quality of food considering cost factors, seasonal availability & adaptability of foods to large scale preparation & service: writes menus for patient acceptance
  • Responsible for all diets prepared & served, assuring meeting of standards in nutrition
  • Makes recommendations on purchase of foods, equipment, & supplies
  • Evaluates “test” trays for overall quality of food; may instruct student nurses & other staff members; provides therapeutic programming to patients.

Current licensure as dietitian as issued by Ohio Board of Dietetics per Section 4759.06 of Revised Code. If employed at Ohio Veterans' Home, must also have 1 year supervisory experience in dietetic service of health care institution & participate annually in continuing dietetic education.
