Seasonal Winter Laborer

Description **JOB SUMMARY**

A Seasonal Winter Laborer is a seasonal part-time position with hours available following snow events. Seasonal Winter Laborers are responsible for snow removal with company provided equipment.

As a Seasonal Winter Laborer at Schill Grounds Management, you must be able to perform the following essential functions of the job:

- Attend meetings at the Branch, if requested.

- Perform snow removal with a manual shovel

- Spread salt as requested

- Remove snow from storefronts using awning rakes

- Operate small snow blowers

- Operate walk behind snow sweepers

- Monitor weather correspondence and be aware of upcoming snow events.

- Follow all company policies and procedures.

- Perform any other duties as assigned.

**WORK CONDITIONS**

Employees performing this job should be able and willing to drive or travel locally, if needed. Schedules for this position may vary and may require flexibility to work extended hours. Potential work hours during the snow season include nighttime, weekends, and holidays to participate with snow removal activities. This position will require working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions including rain, snow, sun, extreme cold or heat.

Requirements Must be able to drive to a site in adverse weather conditions

Must be able to move and/or lift up to 60 pounds consistently
