As a Project Operations Support Specialist (Fulton County, GA, Cobb County, GA), you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation and timely completion of a subset of our technical projects. You will support our project managers and work closely with subcontractors, focusing on project operations and management. This position is ideal for someone who is highly organized, a quick learner, and thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Track project deadlines and ensure all milestones are met.
- Take and track actions to ensure project tasks are completed on time.
- Schedule and set up meetings, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and prepared.
- Assist in project management activities, including planning, execution, and monitoring of project progress.
- Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure project requirements are understood and met.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation.
- Support project managers in the development and implementation of project plans and schedules.
- Monitor project performance, investigate issues and recommend solutions, and provide regular updates to project managers.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration among project team members and stakeholders.
- Travel to meet subcontractor project team, visit corporate KBR office in Huntsville, AL, and occasionaly attend project meetings at various US destinations.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, project management, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- 5 to 10 years of task related experience is required.
- Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to learn project management software and practices.
- Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new tools and processes.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with CI polygraph security clearance.
- Previous experience in project coordination, administration, or management
