POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Demand Planner in the Consumer Product Goods industry to join our team. The Senior Demand Planner will play a critical role in managing our S&OP process and ensure appropriate inventory levels are maintained. This position requires a strategic mindset, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal inventory management and customer satisfaction.

 ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead the S&OP process to align demand and supply plans, identify potential gaps or constraints, and develop action plans to address them. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and decision-making to ensure alignment with business objectives.

• Develop and execute finished good management strategies to maintain optimal inventory levels across multiple locations and facilities.
• Analyze historical sales data, market trends, and customer forecasts to accurately forecast demand for products at each location.
• Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, supply chain and operations teams at each location to gather relevant data and insights for demand planning.
• Lead the development and enhancement of demand planning processes and systems to improve forecast accuracy and responsiveness to market changes.
• Monitor sales trends, and customer demand at each location to identify potential risks and opportunities.
• Work closely with our operations and procurement team to ensure timely delivery of inventory to each location and manage inventory replenishment processes.
• Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to track inventory performance, forecast accuracy, and service levels at each location.
• Lead inventory optimization initiatives including SKU rationalization, safety stock management, and inventory obsolescence management across multiple facilities.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in inventory management and demand planning to continuously improve processes and systems.

 REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in operations management, business administration, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in demand planning within the consumer product industry.
• Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing inventory management and demand planning strategies in a multi-location environment.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets and derive actionable insights.
• Proficiency in demand planning software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
