The Center for Women and Infants is a designated Baby-Friendly birthing facility by Baby-Friendly USA. The designation is awarded to birth centers that offer an optimal level of care for infant feeding and mother/baby bonding. UofL Hospitals Center for Women & Infants is the only downtown Louisville facility to earn this designation. Its the fourth facility in Kentucky to have it.

Job Summary:
The patient care assistant provides clinical patient care support in a caring, safe, and efficient manner, under the supervision and delegation of the Registered Nurse. In collaboration with patients and families (as defined by the patient) the patient care assistant is responsible for the care of the patient. The patient care assistant adheres to and is supportive of the hospital and the department of Nursing mission and philosophy.
Delivers outstanding service to our internal and external customer by advocating for customers preferences; maximizing communication and partnering with peers and customers; acting to obtain feedback, problem solving and change; demonstrating zest through integrity, punctuality, appearance, and style.
