Qualifications

Job SummaryA Senior Purchasing Manager is responsible for supporting the procurement and inventory process within an organization. They develop and implement purchasing strategies, negotiate contracts with suppliers, manage vendor relationships, and ensure cost-effective purchasing practices. They also lead the procurement quality assurance program, confirm utilization of inventory policies and procedures, and collaborate with other departments to meet organizational needs. Additionally, they support a team of purchasing professionals and contribute to overall supply chain management objectives.

Roles and Responsibilities• Trains new purchasing team members on procurement processes, inventory management, and vendor relations.• Provides ongoing professional development opportunities for existing purchasing team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.• Implements and maintains perpetual inventory systems to ensure accurate stock levels and reduce inventory discrepancies.• Validates daily uploads and spot-check tertiary framework uploads to maintain data integrity.• Performs daily centralized purchasing duties for field pharmacies, ensuring timely procurement of required supplies and medications.• Manages user-defined drug pricing within the pharmacy operating system.• Assists in managing vendor relationships, resolving quality, shipping, or invoicing issues, and participating in contract negotiations and vendor selection.• Validates daily/weekly/monthly pharmacy spend and perform physical inventory counts and audits.• Implements and maintain a procurement quality assurance program and validate understanding and utilization of inventory policies and procedures.• Conducts actual vs. average cost validation to identify cost-saving opportunities and reduce obsolete inventory.• Reviews formulary overviews and send updates to locations with concerns, ensuring compliance with purchasing policies.• Validates receiving in framework daily uploads and ensure remote desktop verification processes are in place.• Participates in on-site opportunity reviews and assist in pharmacy inventory organization to optimize stock levels and reduce waste.• Other duties as assigned.

QualificationsEducation: High School / GEDExperience: 3-5 years

Physical RequirementsSitting, standing, bending, reaching, stretching, stooping, walking, and moving intermittently during working hours. Must be able to lift at least 50lbs. Must be able to maintain verbal and written communication with co-workers, supervisors, residents, family members, visitors, vendors, and all business associates outside of the health campus.
