National Health Foundation is Hiring a Marketing and Communications Manager Near Los Angeles, CA

NHF is seeking an innovative and talented Communications & Marketing Manager to join our team! As our Communications & Marketing Manager, you would bring a can-do attitude to the team. You would be responsible for crafting and distributing clear, compelling and concise messaging to NHF's stakeholders, both internally and externally. This is a unique opportunity to drive awareness and action to critical issues that impact the health of under-resourced communities.
Pertinent Information
This position is an Exempt, Salaried Employee. The range for the position is $70k-$80k/year DOE. This is an onsite position, as we are in the office Monday-Thursday and WFH on Friday's.
How will you contribute to the success of the organization?
As our Communications and Marketing Manager, you will
  • Be responsible for producing content and overseeing the creation of our collateral materials, such as brochures, newsletters, and various reports.
  • Manage all Social Media platforms, campaigns, and content development. Collaborate with leadership in implementing NHF's overall strategic communication plan.
  • Track local and national related news, communicating highlights internally.
  • Handle all media relation activities, including identification of new opportunities and feature story ideas, writing news releases/media advisories, pitching to targeted media and responding to media calls.
  • Identify and collaborate with national and local journalists, bloggers and other influencers who may reach a wider audience.
  • Oversee external business partners and vendors including graphic designers, freelance writers, photographers, video producers, etc.
  • Manage NHF's digital assets library.
  • Additional tasks as needed
Requirements
What would our Communications and Marketing Manager bring to the organization?
  • Bachelor's degree (Communications, Public Relations, or related field) required.
  • 2 or more years of experience in communications, marketing, public relations and/or media work, preferably in a nonprofit setting.
  • Experience in working with hospitals, integrated health plans, at-risk populations, or in a nonprofit setting preferred but not required.
  • Experience in developing and implementing strategic communication and marketing plans, crafting messages, and executing tactics.
  • Work both in an autonomous and collaborative setting to anticipate needs and plan accordingly, coordinate complex activities, prioritize conflicting demands and meet deadlines.
  • Be able to be adapt and flexible with all programmatic and fiscal changes.
