Overview
Advanced Technologies and Laboratories (ATL), a Planned Systems International company (PSI), referred to as ATL is seeking a Technical Report Collection Assistant to join our team at the Los Alamos National Laboratory.
Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities
Support the LANL Research Library that is currently working to fully catalog and digitize our historical technical report collection in print format.
Assist with the review of collection contents for classification, indexing, cataloging, preparing, and storing published technical information in print format.
Check for digital copies in trusted repositories like OSTI.gov or HathiTrust.org.Conduct searches following well-established procedures.
Apply Laboratory policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.Utilizes standard principles, theories, concepts and techniques as recognized within the records management, archives, or library profession.
Provides resolutions to an assortment of problems of moderately complex scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.
Contributes to the fulfillment of projects and organizational objectives.Receives detailed instructions on new projects or assignments.Minimum Requirements
Position typically requires a high school diploma and minimum of two years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have good computer repository, filing systems skills.Must be able to lift print materials and / or archival boxes (that are up to 25 pounds).
Must be able to be on feet for substantial periods of time.Citizenship and Clearance : For consideration, you must have an active or very recently active DOE "Q" Clearance or DoD "Top Secret" Clearance.
Due to the federal nature of the work, a U.S. Citizenship is required.
