GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The purpose of this classification is to implement the federally funded Overdose Outreach Project, in an effort to combat the opioid epidemic throughout Fayette County.
These positions will be part of the Community Paramedicine program. They will work with members of the community to identify appropriate resources and agencies for service referrals, work to build networks with service providers in the community, document activities through accurate data collection and respond to inquiries about the data.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
* Bachelor's degree in social work or another field related to the job
* Two (2) years of related experience
* Additional years of related education may substitute for years of experience
* Additional years of related experience may substitute for years of education
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
* Plans, develops and implements policies, databases, and city wide campaigns in order to comply with program grant objectives
* Provides recovery support to individuals; makes treatment referrals and assists individuals in locating needed services within the community
* Develops and maintains community partnerships with treatment and recovery services
* Provides trainings and organizes community recovery events
* Responds to requests for data, reports and other information regarding the project
* Performs related work as assigned
