As the Director of Behavioral Health Nursing, you will have 24-hour accountability for the leadership and operational management of the nursing unit. You will be instrumental in fostering a high standard of patient care, professional development, and financial accountability within the behavioral health units.

Key Responsibilities :

• Supervise and ensure compliant direct patient care across the behavioral health units.
• Develop and maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education and training.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the competency of team members through performance improvement projects, patient care outcomes, and customer satisfaction surveys.
• Drive the financial and operational objectives of the hospital.
• Exhibit leadership and effective communication skills to collaborate with other department directors and C-suite executives.
• Utilize critical thinking skills to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
• Act as a trusted advisor, maintaining a positive attitude that promotes employee loyalty and engagement.

Educational Requirements :

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing – Required.

Experience Requirements :

• Three (3) to Five (5) years of experience as a Behavioral Health Director or Manager - Required.
• Expertise with survey processes in an inpatient psychiatric setting (Joint Commission, CMS, Department of Human Services, etc.).

License/Certification Requirements :

• Registered Nurse License for the State of Oklahoma (either single state or multistate).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within the first week of hire.
• Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) within 30 days of hire.
