Job DescriptionWe are seeking an Equipment Engineering Manager to support our teams in Lowell and Lawrence, MA. The Equipment Engineering Manager will direct wafer fabrication equipment engineers and technicians in daily support activities and manage the financial approvals of repairs, spare parts, and equipment purchases.
Duties And Responsibilities
  • Directs the activities of the Equipment Engineers and Technicians in the day-to-day support of wafer fab equipment according to production priorities.
  • Sets goals and assigns tasks for continuous improvement projects to meet organizational goals.
  • Participates in equipment selection, configuration, installation, and performance monitoring for new equipment purchases and relocations.
  • Propose and manage budgets for equipment repair expenses, spare parts purchases and stocking levels and implement approved cost reduction measures.
  • Work with EHS department to ensure all equipment installations, maintenance and operation are compliant with all safety and environmental policies and regulations.
  • Work with HR department to draft job descriptions, interview and select candidates to fill approved vacancies, and monitor/manage employee performance and development.
Requirements/QualificationsRequirements/Qualifications:
  • Bachelors’ degree in Engineering and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in equipment maintenance or process engineering in a wafer fabrication setting.
  • Self-starter who has initiative, ownership, and desire to proactively manage people, processes, and finances.
  • Advanced knowledge of wafer fabrication processes and equipment operations to effectively identify and correct anomalies impacting productivity, quality, and costs.

Candidates are required to provide proof of either US citizenship, Permanent US residency or classification as a protected individual as defined in 8 USC 1324b (a) (3).
