The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides nursing care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN) for a group of patients within a designated time frame. The LPN collaborates and communicates with the RN to utilize the nursing process in developing a plan of care while coordinating care with other health care team members. Provides service to patients throughout the life span including newborns, children, adolescents, adults and geriatric age groups.
Minimum Education: High School graduate or equivalent, completion of accredited program for licensed practical nursing.
Minimum Experience: Previous clinical experience in areas of assignment.
Certification/Licensure: Currently licensed as an LPN in New Mexico. CPR certification required.
Certification or completion courses must meet the standards of Memorial Medical Center.
