Venture Jets is a Part 135 and Part 91 operator based in Lancaster, PA. It serves commercial clients and regional organ transplant organizations.

This role is for a weekend/overnight or weekday/overnight Flight Dispatcher. It includes fulfilling flight requests, scheduling and assigning aircraft and crew, and ensuring clients and vendors are kept up to date on trip status.

This is a hybrid position, with the opportunity to work out of the Lancaster, PA, office a few days a month. Depending on experience, two weeks of in-office training may be required.

This role requires a weekly on-call schedule. Venture Jets has openings for both overnight weekday (Mon-Thurs) and weekend dispatchers (Friday through Monday).

Dispatchers are expected to respond to Client email requests during waking hours and emergency phone calls 24x7. Basically, sleep with the phone near the bed to handle emergency dispatch requests. Venture Jets serves as a primary Organ transplant flight department, and emergency after-hours calls are routine and expected 2-3 per weekend on average.

Weekend Dispatcher Base Pay: 35K-45K

Weekday Dispatcher Base Pay: 45K-55K

Dispatch Fee: $250 per trip

Annual Pay with dispatch fee range 45K-75K

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties include the following (other duties may be assigned as required by management)

• Accepts and fulfills flight requests from customers while ensuring company goals and objectives relating to aircraft utilization are achieved.

• When necessary, examine performance factors before developing a flight release for a specific mission. These factors should include but not be limited to such considerations as aircraft weight & balance, runway required, climb gradients, etc. The review of these factors is primarily to ensure customer satisfaction and maintain realistic customer expectations.

• Maintains an accurate record of pilot flight and duty times to show compliance with the applicable sections of FAR 135.

• Provides all crewmembers with “Flight Release” details

• Completes tasks as directed by the Dispatch team lead.

• Produces and submits accurate and competitive charter quotes to customers and brokers in a timely manner.

• Provides an exemplary level of customer service to aircraft clients and owners, ensuring the customer experience meets and exceeds customer expectations.

• Provides support services for crew and passengers traveling aboard company aircraft, including flight following with flight crewmembers.

• Acts as the primary contact for all emergency situations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

Required

• Minimum of three or more years of Part 91/135 experience or FAA Dispatcher License.
• Knowledgeable of applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.
• Able to work as a part of a team in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.
• Highly motivated and organized.
• Strong computer proficiency.
• No violations of FAA/DOT regulations within the last five (5) years.
• Possess the ability to read, write, and speak English.
• US Citizen

Highly Desirable

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
• FAA Dispatcher License and/or FAA Pilots license
• Private or Commercial Pilot experience is a huge plus.
