WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
- Performs delegated patient care activities as directed by the RN or medical staff upon completion of documented training, in a manner that is aligned with age specific needs of the patient to ensure safe, accurate and high-quality treatment of patients.
- Documentation of patient care.
- Participate in organization, cleaning and safety of unit.
- Maintains unit supplies, prepares patient rooms and medical records, enters charges, and answers the multi-line telephone to assist in the safe and efficient operation of the unit.
- Answers questions about treatment plan within the expected scope or refers questions to RN.
- Make rounds and respond promptly to patient requests.
- Assist in the admission, transfer and discharge of patients as directed.
- Will be required to float to different units depending on staffing needs throughout hospital.
- High School Diploma/GED Required
- 1 year Prior experience in a healthcare related field Preferred
- Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association within 90 Days Required
- 6 months of experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant -or-
completion of foundation courses if attending a Registered Nursing Program
OPTION I
- Must work one weekend per month (days can be split up)
- Potential float to all units and work in capacity needed as a Aide, HUC or patient companion - We will cross train you!
- Work one major*, one minor** Holiday
**MINOR Holidays: Easter, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day
OPTION II
- You Choose! 12, 24 or 36 hours per week with assigned 2 consecutive shifts every 3rd or 4th weekend!
- Work one major*, one minor** Holiday plus one additional non Holiday
- *MAJOR Holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years
**MINOR Holidays: Easter, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day
***ADDITIONAL Non-Holidays:
Days - Halloween, Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve
Nights - Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Day
