Aptiv is searching for a Part-Time In-Home Direct Support Professional (DSP)! This position earns a competitive hourly rate of $15.50/hr with a $1.50/hr shift differential for weekend shifts.

Responsibilities:

As an In-Home DSP, you will facilitate individuals with disabilities and seniors to live with independence and dignity in the community. Studies show that those who live at home and retain their independence are happier, healthier, and tend to live longer. Your job would be to support and serve individuals at their homes!

You do more than just help with personal care, housekeeping, meal planning, and appointments. While those tasks are important, you also provide companionship and socialization, as you support your clients in visiting with friends, attending events, or working on hobbies. Often you will support individuals at doctors' appointments as well. You could also be responsible for grocery shopping or going on walks with the individuals. You help them stay healthy in all areas by making sure that they are mentally stimulated, socially connected, physically active, and well-nourished, encouraging their independence as much as possible.

Qualifications:

Required:

At least 18 years of age

Negative TB skin test (provided by Aptiv)
Ability to pass a background test
A valid driver's license and a good driving record
Reliable transportation with valid registration and up-to-date auto insurance
