Brightwild is Hiring a Security Officer Near Key West, FL
We are looking for a vigilant Loss Prevention Officer that will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our guests, visitors and team members by patrolling and monitoring premises and staff. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of risk management. They will be skilled in identifying and resolving issues before they escalate, always ensuring the safety and security of our guests and staff.
Responsibilities
- Patrol hotel premises regularly to maintain order and establish presence.
- Monitor all surveillance cameras and security systems.
- Investigate and report any irregularities or suspicious activities.
- Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities.
- Promptly report accidents and injuries to supervisor.
- Coordinate with law enforcement agencies when necessary.
- Ensure all access points are secure and locked according to hotel standards.
- Respond to alarms promptly and investigate disturbances.
- Provide assistance to guests and staff in case of emergency.
- Conduct regular security checks according to hotel standards.
- Maintain activity log during each shift.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must display a high level of responsibility and trust.
- Must have the ability to work independently and make critical decisions in a timely manner.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to change activity frequently and cope with interruptions.
- Proven experience as a loss prevention officer or guard.
- Knowledge of report writing.
- Able to work Sunday through Saturday, early mornings and evenings as needed.
- Must have basic computer skills.
- Must be First Aid and CPR certified.
- Possess excellent communication skills.
- Must be able to push, pull, carry, and lift up to fifty (50) pounds with or without accommodation.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, twist, and reach above shoulders and head.
- Must be able to stand and/or walk continuously throughout shift.
