Clairidge House nursing facility is seeking a full time Business Office Manager.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
This position supervises the Business Office Assistant team member. Compiles and analyzes information and invoices to prepare check requests and documents business transactions. Monitors and prepares monthly accounts payable aging reports. Interacts with vendors, settles disputes and advises Business Office Coordinator or Administrator of issues needing further resolution. Ensures that appropriate authorization is obtained to prepare checks and that only approved checks are cut and mailed. Ensures proper accounts receivable and accounts payable functions. Addresses financial information with residents’ responsible party prior to admission to facility. Assists residents’ families with all financial questions. Attends weekly Medicare meetings. Prepares and sends out medical billings, private pay billings, and Medicare billings.
Successful candidates should meet and possess the following skills and abilities:
Long term care experience preferred. Some previous accounting courses helpful. Must have spreadsheet and word document experience. Must be a supportive team member, willing to contribute and be an example of team work and team concept. Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish fact, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
