Charleston Collegiate School is seeking a full-time Spanish teacher for the 2024-2025 school year . Successful candidates will be creative, energetic, and highly skilled teachers who are passionate about student-centered, collaborative, experiential learning. Candidates should also have a proven track record of success working with middle and high school students. Ideal candidates will have experience teaching Spanish I, II, and III. Salary range: $50-60K, commensurate with experience.
Charleston Collegiate School (CCS) is an independent day school which strives to recognize, nurture, and challenge each of its students. Located on Johns Island, SC twenty minutes from Charleston’s historic district, CCS is the only co-educational, non-sectarian, preschool through 12th grade, independent school in Charleston’s metropolitan area.

Essential Qualifications

- Experience with experiential education and project-based learning, especially in developing and adapting curriculum for group projects with learning goals in mind.
- A positive ‘can-do’ attitude and growth mindset
- A willingness to participate in student-life activities e.g., advisory, club leadership, coaching, after-school programs
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject discipline, e.g., Education or mathematics.
- A minimum of 3-5 years teaching experience
- Independent school experience
- Advanced degree / postgraduate qualification
- The ability to teach other subject disciplines and elective courses
