We are seeking highly motivated Software Automation Engineers to support the development and sustainment of the U.S. Missile Defense Agency Ground-Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) anti-ballistic missile system project in Huntsville, AL. This position requires on-site work to be performed in Huntsville, AL. There are no remote work options. The selected Senior Software Engineer (Automated SW Test Developer) will be responsible for developing and implementing scripts that drive the automated testing efforts for the Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) Weapons Systems (GWS) Ground Support Systems (GSS) product team. Essential Functions: Support advanced portions of the lifecycle of software development to include requirements definition, integration, and deployment. * Develop scripts for automated testing. * Perform post-test / log analysis and support the development of the associated documentation. * Conduct analysis and resolution of off-nominal results. * Prioritize and adjust tasks to accomplish project results with limited oversight and direction. * Apply "systems thinking" to ensure developed products are scalable, maintainable, and meet end-user needs . * Communicate openly and effectively with teammates and customer representatives.
