Job Summary:
The Senior Financial Analyst Government Contract Compliance is responsible for ensuring that the general contractor hired by the owner has business processes and controls necessary to comply with US Government regulations and procedures related to cost accounting, other responsibilities to include lead in preparation of forward pricing rates, incurred cost submissions, cost impacts resulting from accounting changes, advance agreements, as appropriate.
The successful candidate will also ensure the general contractor has established and is monitoring processes and controls necessary to comply with all government regulations and procedures related to business cost practices.
As the Senior Financial Analyst Government Contract Compliance , here's the work you'll do:
  • Interpret and maintain current knowledge of all government cost regulations (Federal Acquisition Regulations, Truth in Negotiations Act, Service Contract Act, et al) and cost accounting standards (CAS).
  • Ensure that General Contractor's accounting routines, billing and cost practices that affect government business meet all standards of compliance for contract cost and pricing and related financial reporting.
  • Maintain effective and constructive relationships with General Contractor and Owner representatives.
  • Other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required - preferred degree in Finance.
  • 5 years' experience in the preparation and submission of Incurred Cost Proposals.
  • 5 years' experience in the preparation and submission of Forward Pricing Rate Proposals.
  • Experience in a mixed Government environment of program level execution, contracts, exposure to DCAA and DCMA.
  • Knowledge of military and defense contract compliance regulations and protocol.
  • Ability to work effectively with Accounting and Finance Department.
  • Working knowledge of computer applications to include MSOffice in the daily work setting.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively within a very technical language environment.
  • Preferable experience in Government Contracting, FAR, DFAR, SCA/DBA
