Job Summary:

The Director of Instrumentation & Electrical Engineering oversees one of X4 Technology's existing clients I&E Services Business unit, focusing on technical and operational management, group P&L, project estimating, planning, and growth strategy implementation.

Primary Job Functions:

• Lead the design, development, deployment, monitoring, and review of I&E systems, processes, and programs in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Ensure I&E systems, processes, and programs align with company operations, client expectations, and legislative requirements.
• Develop strategies and plans to meet KPIs and deliverables in consultation with stakeholders and leadership.
• Provide leadership and oversight for the I&E services team, combining technical excellence and people management.
• Conduct independent technical reviews of electrical design and construction deliverables.
• Develop and implement design standards, coordinating with other disciplines.
• Participate in business development activities, including client presentations, proposals, and preparation of technical scopes of work.
• Oversee the preparation of design documents, including plans, specifications, construction estimates, and technical reports.
• Support Regional I&E Leadership and field personnel in delivering project deliverables and performance reports.

Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Advanced Degree in Electrical and Instrumentation Construction and/or Technologies.
• 10 years of experience in electrical engineering services for low and medium voltage electrical distribution systems.
• Diverse project experience in electrical construction and multi-discipline project execution.
• Proven ability in developing new business opportunities and client proposals.
• Expertise in developing construction plans, specifications, cost estimates, schedules, and construction planning documents.
• Experience in field assessments, condition assessments, and construction.
• Familiarity with local government permitting codes related to Electrical Design, building codes, NFPA codes, and the National Electrical Code.
• Strong communication, initiative, planning and organization, problem-solving, teamwork, and technical/professional knowledge skills.
• Client service focus for both internal and external clients.
• Professional communication skills with engineers, project and construction managers, equipment suppliers, contractors, and client representatives.
• Effective organizational and time management skills for a fast-paced, high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
• Flexibility to work outside normal business hours if required.

Education/Training:

• Bachelor’s or Advanced Degree in Electrical Technologies or Construction Management.
• Knowledge in Instrumentation and Control (I&C) design and installation, including SCADA, P&IDs, control systems design, installation of control panels, specifying and installing instruments, network architectures, PLC design and installation, and control strategy development.
