DESCRIPTION OF POSITION/DUTIES:
All Points is looking for a qualified candidate to join our Mission Systems Operation Contract (MSOC) team at the Johnson Space Center supporting the Mission Systems Division (MSD). The candidate will perform a variety of Engineering tasks and activities related to the various NASA programs supported by the Mission Control Center (MCC), the Mission Training Center (MTC), and the Space Vehicle Mock-up Facility (SVMF). Those programs include the Artemis program, Gateway, Human Landing Systems, ISS, and others.
The tasks may include such things as providing studies, analyses, impact statements, end-to-end architecture tradeoffs, and/or implementation planning. Additional tasks may include identifying and resolving issues with data and communications interface requirements, ops concepts, and architecture definitions. The engineer may be involved in defining, evaluating, testing, and integrating MCC systems with other ground facilities and space vehicles. In addition to these things, the engineer will help NASA MSD to maintain effective communication between MSD, other Flight Operations Directorate (FOD) divisions, NASA facilities and customers, NASA project managers, and MSOC contractor personnel. Finally, the engineer may respond to actions from the MSD Configuration Control Board (CCB), MSD Control Panels and Working Groups, as required.
