Physical Education Teacher | 1.0 FTE | Date Needed: 08/19/2024 | 10 Month Calendar Internal & External applicants must submit: Talent Ed application, current resume, one current letter of professional reference.All External applicants must provide a copy of current license
  • The salary schedule for the 24-25 school year is currently under negotiation and will be updated upon settlement.
Hiring Administrator: Christopher BenzGeneral DutiesPhysical education is an academic subject and, as such, demands the same education rigor as other core subjects. Physical education provides students with a planned, sequential, K-12 standards-based program of curricula and instruction designed to develop motor skills, knowledge and behaviors for active living, physical fitness, sportsmanship, self-efficacy and emotional intelligence.
Essential Requirements
  • A valid State of Oregon Teaching License appropriate for the position
  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from an accredited institution
  • The ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • The ability to effectively work and communicate with students, parents, and school personnel from diverse cultures and/or backgrounds
  • The ability to work harmoniously with others
  • Proficient oral and written communication skills in English
  • Proficient in the use of computer and Internet based applications, including but not limited to email and systems applications
  • The ability to learn new automated systems as they are brought online by the District
  • Possess and maintain a current CPR and First Aid card
  • Demonstrate a strong command of the physical skills necessary to teach a variety of sports, games, and activities
  • Maintain integrity of confidential information relating to students, staff, or district patrons
