Mindful Care is Hiring a Clinical Intake Specialist (LMSW) Near Hempstead, NY
- Perform Initial Evaluations (90791s) for all patients seeking care at Mindful
- Become SMEs on the variety of services at Mindful and help formulate Treatment Plans based on individual needs of the patients
- Attend clinical meetings
- Provide coverage for the Therapy department when needed
- Participate in department training and collaborate with other treatment providers
- Following strict ethical and clinical guidelines
- Exhibit a patient-first / patient-focused mentality
- A master’s degree and valid licensure to practice in New York (LMSW)
- Strong patient assessment skills, including mental status exam and use of screening tools
- Experience using PHQ9 and GAD7 screening tools is required. Must be very familiar and comfortable using these tools
- Knowledge of DSM-V
- Strong communication, patient/customer care, and leadership abilities
- Ability to organize and time-manage
- Team-player
- Desire to work with diverse populations and ages 12-lifespan
- LGBTQ ally, a plus
- Bilingual, a plus
- Type: Regular Full-time, Exempt
- Schedule: Hybrid - Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 11am-7pm; Wednesday and Friday 8am-4pm (Friday in office)
