Interim Director of Surgical Services Needed in Kentucky Healthcare System

The Position

• An Interim Director of Surgical Services is needed to oversee operations for a well-established surgical department with nine operating rooms.
• This role reports directly to the CEO and works alongside the Interim CNO. Approximately 60 FTEs report to this position.
• Key responsibilities include maintaining smooth day-to-day operations, addressing issues in Central Sterile Supply (CSS), mentoring internal staff, and launching a new cardiothoracic program.
• The ideal candidate will be a collaborative and experienced leader with a background in union environments and cardiothoracic programs, capable of maintaining positive staff and physician relationships.
• Must be available to start within 2-3 weeks of acceptance.

Requirements

• BSN required; MSN preferred but not required.
• RN license in Kentucky or a compact state required.
• Previous healthcare experience required.
