Title: Job Title: Fleet Maintenance & Cost Manager

Location: Hackensack, New Jersey

Compensation: $60,000 - $70,000 per year

Hours: 7:00 – 4:00 pm

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist the Fleet Maintenance Manager with administrative and clerical tasks
• Attend meetings to gather and convey necessary information
• Complete equipment and maintenance accounting tasks for month-end close, job costing, and equipment costing
• File IFTA, HUT, and DOT returns monthly, quarterly, and yearly
• Coordinate with the Fleet Administrator on NY HUT decals, IFTA renewal, UCR filing, etc.
• Prepare reports for the Fleet Manager and Director as needed
• Maintain various records and compile pertinent information for managerial use
• Generate and define Key Performance Indicators (KPI) reports from CMMS data on a weekly, monthly, and as-needed basis
• Support planners, schedulers, and other Fleet Maintenance personnel as directed
• Review and submit vendor invoices associated with Fleet Maintenance for approval
• Setup and maintain GPS units and software, distributing weekly reports on vehicle and equipment idling, speeding, etc.
• Onboard new equipment and vehicle specifications into CMMS and retire assets upon auction or sale

Requirements:

• Effective verbal and written communication
• Willingness to learn policies and legal requirements related to maintenance and transportation
• Ability to perform multiple technical tasks and manage electronic records
• Strong prioritization and decision-making skills
• Capability to work under standardized instructions and routines, provide information, and operate within a defined budget
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a similar field
• Administrative experience in maintenance, transportation, or construction, or a combination of education and experience
