City of Greenville, NC Government is Hiring a Laborer Near Greenville, NC
FLSA Status: Non-ExemptExamples of Duties
- Serves as a crew member for parks, athletic fields, and landscaping maintenance work;
- Performs mowing, trimming and edging;
- Maintains and repairs park facilities through manual labor;
- Performs litter control using a light duty truck;
- Transports trailers, mowers, and other equipment;
- Loads and unloads supplies and materials;
- Fills in holes in lawns and completes planting, mulching, and trimming;
- Sanitizes trash cans, cleans buildings, and restrooms along with other janitorial duties;
- Assists in setting up for events and programs;
- Assists with carpentry, painting, masonry, and other various semi-skilled maintenance duties;
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED; AND
- Six months of manual labor experience
Knowledge Of
- relevant machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repairs, and maintenance.

- This position requires working a flexible schedule to cover special events and athletic tournaments, inclement weather and available to call backs.
