Summary
Operates the furnaces in a safe, efficient manner to produce liquid smoke to meet customer commitments, company objectives and quality standards.
Essential duties and responsibilities
Assist the furnace operator with calciner operations.
Perform necessary tests to adjust furnaces for optimum production & quality.
Record operational data of furnaces.
Rod out furnace per schedule
Grease, oil, & lube furnaces, as required.
Perform scheduled sanitation duties.
Burnout furnaces as required.
Maintain neat, clean, and organized furnace and control rooms by cleaning daily.
Keeps furnace room clean and safe.
Complies with all corporate safety and environmental regulations and procedures.
Complies with all HACCP Food Safety procedures, GMP’S, and guidelines.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Assist the furnace operator with calciner operations.
Loads char.
Back up for dryer operator when necessary
