This is a freelance part-time, on-site position, 16-24 hours a week minimum (2-3 days a week on-site). This role will be pivotal in ensuring a consistent and compelling visual identity across various touchpoints. Your expertise in design principles, typography, and execution will be key to elevating our brand presence. The range for this role is $25-40 per hour depending on experience, skills, and education. Essential Job Functions Packaging final art, product line extensions, design revisions and updates.Create packaging artwork production mechanicals with meticulous attention to detail. Ability to deliver clean layered production-ready files for printing.Support and collaborate with others on the team in creating original art and designs. Create shelf talkers, sell sheets, coupons, trade show graphics, social media, digital campaigns, and giveaways.Prepare designs and prototypes of packaging concepts for brand/marketing presentations.Contribute towards optimizing design workflow and creative process.Undertake additional relevant responsibilities as required to support various design projects. Expedites the inevitable "rush jobs". Position Requirements Minimum of 5-10 years of design and production art experience.BFA or BA in graphic design or a degree in a related field is preferred.Experience in CPG design (brand identity, package, marketing, and trade design) is required.Demonstrated success from concept to production in a CPG company or a design firm.Highly proficient with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and Illustrator)Knowledge of best practices for color adjustment and photo retouching. Strong working knowledge of RGB to CMYK print process and the transitions between.Full understanding of print production processes.Understanding of packaging structure, dies, printing, and applying brand standards and guidelines.Knowledge in various packaging types, materials & production methods.Manage multiple projects with varying deadlines and commitments.Ability to receive and implement feedback seamlessly and promptly. Must include link to online portfolio. Skills & Qualifications Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of design and brand identity principles.A comprehensive knowledge and understanding of design principles, emphasizing the use of typography and photography in layout.Utilize a strong typographic skillset to produce unique wordmarks, logos, iconography, etc.Constantly strive to find new ways to improve and streamline processes, finding creative solutions to various challenges.Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, shifting focus as needed to meet business priorities.Ability to work independently and remain flexible in an agile culture.Deep understanding of messaging and communication hierarchyPresent design concepts in a clear and concise manner.Eye for design, staging, and prop styling to bring concepts and brand aesthetic to life.Possess a positive, can-do attitude, a strong work ethic, strong project management skills, self-motivated.Demonstrate enthusiasm, creativity, innovation, and a strong eagerness to learn and adapt. Team player with excellent interpersonal skills We offer competitive pay and benefits package, including health (~80-90% company paid) for employee and dependents, dental, vision, life insurance, long-term disability, company match 401K plan, vacation, floating holidays, and company holidays. Pulmuone is a global, distributed workforce in four countries.
