Ergon is Hiring a Learning Management System (LMS) Administrator Near Flowood, MS

We currently have an opening for Learning Management System (LMS) Administrator at our corporate office in Flowood, MS. The LMS Administrator provides technical leadership in the support of Ergon's SAP LMS. This position is responsible for the support, design, development, implementation, delivery, and maintenance of content, assets, and other resources used for instructional functions. The LMS Administrator in this role is the primary system administrator for Ergon's LMS and oversees the installation of all system updates and upgrades, as well as tools and software integrated with the LMS.

Learning Management System Administrator Responsibilities

General

  • Works on assignments dealing with the routine and daily operation, use, and configuration of the Ergon LMS.
  • Manages community areas within the LMS including functionality, appearance, tabs, and settings.
  • Follows procedures and policies to ensure the security and integrity of systems/networks.
  • Collaborates with the Ergon businesses and Shared Services organizations on training needs within the organization.
  • Creates and updates resources to train and support learners on how to use the technology.
  • Other duties as assigned in support of Business Process Management Department needs (e.g., set-up and tear down of training rooms, scheduling meeting rooms, management of department purchase card, etc.)

User Management

  • Creates user logins as needed and assigns user permissions.
  • Trains and monitors permissions of organizational LMS admins.
  • Creates and manages user structures including the creation of user groups and learning cohorts.
  • Manages course enrollment including progress tracking.

Course Management

  • Publishes and archives online or blended learning solutions, assigns training curricula, and adds and deletes resources.
  • Populates course information and assigns learners.
  • Schedule face-to-face training sessions within the LMS for course items delivered by BPMD training team.
  • Award training credit to employees within the LMS.
  • Utilizes and updates standardized tools and reporting for ongoing access to learning information; generates standard and custom reports.
  • Creates and manages the overall course structure and sets up course programs based on specifications from the instructional designer.
  • Manages tracking of course revisions and history.
  • Builds online assessments and evaluations in LMS for courses.
  • Receives third party vendor content and uploads content to the Ergon LMS.

5.4 Troubleshooting

  • Provides troubleshooting assistance for users regarding logging in to the LMS and accessing courses.
  • Serves as point of escalation for support issues, which may include interaction with LMS vendor and other vendor support services.
  • Works with the instructional technologist and instructional designers to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to accessing the LMS and course content.

Learning Management System Administrator Qualifications

  • No prior experience required. Selected individual must be able to gain proficiency in required competencies within 6-months of start date.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate complex technical concepts in English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel to create, edit, and share information.
  • Ability to collaborate with others at all levels of the organization as well as vendors.
  • Ability to gain new technical skills quickly.
  • Customer service skills, responsive attitude.
  • The ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
  • Ability to travel overnight up to 25% of the time.
  • 3 - 5 years' experience in a LMS administrator role or experience with an Ergon company preferred.
  • Experience with SAP LMS preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred (E.g., Psychology, Instructional Design).
