Position Summary
POSITION MISSION / SUMMARY
Worksite : SJC Main Campus, Farmington, NM
This is a temporary grant funded position
POSITION DESCRIPTION (MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS)
Assist with implementing curriculum throughout the camp, manage the classroom / students, guide students with technology, prepare students for a final presentation at the end of the camp.
Assist with shaping and educating student participants by assisting them on numerous activities and experiences.
Ensure compliance with CyberPatriot Summer Camp programs requirements and expectations.
Assists with overseeing the safety and wellbeing of children enrolled in the camp on a day-to-day basis.
Assists with ensuring that students arrive and attend classes the camp.
Assisting students with assigned projects.
QUALIFICATIONS
The successful candidate will demonstrate leadership qualities and have excellent interpersonal communication skills, value diversity and have a multicultural perspective with adult / minority students;
be highly motivated along with a strong commitment to the community college philosophy.
Candidate must have an Associate’s degree and / or two or more years of college coursework equivalent, or are currently enrolled in Associates degree program.
First aid, and CPR training certification preferred
Must have the ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently, encourage students and display patience when instructing, ability to serve a positive role model and mentor, comfortable in a team-player role, and strict adherence to the program’s concepts, standards, and goals.
Candidate must have knowledge and skills of educational, cybersecurity, management, or related field in curriculum delivery.
Physical Requirements : Varied standing, walking, sitting, bending, ability to lift 25lbs of supplies or related equipment.
All candidates are subject to a Criminal Background Investigation prior to any offer of Employment.
