Job Title: Shop Manager
Salary: $120K (negotiable DOE)
Location: Farmingdale - Long Island NY
Industry: Structural steel fabrication
We have a fantastic opportunity at a local long standing, reputable steelwork contractor. Focusing on steel fabrication, working on a variety of commercial and residential projects, they are looking for a Shop Manager to come in and lead the shop team!
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the estimating team in preparing accurate project cost estimates, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
- Oversee shop operations and ordering materials
- Review shop drawings and scheduling fabrication lead times
- Keeping shop safe and organized, whilst ensuring shop workers are performing to high standard
- Making sure manufactured product meets specification and meets AISC standards
Experience:
- 3 years experience in structural steel fabrication
- Supervisory experience (ideal)
