Delivery Driver
Duties:
- Safely and efficiently operate a variety of vehicles including tractor-trailers, box trucks, and refrigerated trailers.
- Communicate with dispatch to receive delivery instructions and updates.
- Load and unload goods using forklifts or other equipment as necessary.
- Follow delivery schedules and routes to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
- Inspect vehicles before and after each trip, reporting any maintenance or repair needs.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating company vehicles.
- Provide exceptional customer service by delivering goods in a professional and courteous manner.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including proof of delivery documents.
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with dispatch, customers, and team members.
- Proficient in operating various types of vehicles, including tractor-trailers, box trucks, and vehicles with manual transmissions.
- Experience with commercial driving, including knowledge of route planning and navigation.
- Ability to safely operate forklifts or other equipment for loading and unloading goods.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate delivery documentation.
- Physical stamina to handle the demands of loading and unloading goods and performing repetitive tasks.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing delivery schedules or routes.
