Position Summary: The Product Pricing Analyst enters, maintains, purges, audits, and communicates pricing as it relates to products and customers that are handled and distributed to by the company. Additionally, the Product Pricing Analyst will deliver analyses that support profit opportunity identification and price target development. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Enters, maintains, and purges product pricing and costs as it relates to markups, tiered pricing, standard or purchasing costs, etc.Enters, maintains, and purges product pricing for special pricing scenarios as it relates to customers, trade shows, promotions, etc.Processes and communicates manufacturer price changesEnters, maintains, and purges account contracts and pricingProduces price lists and quotes for customers and Account ManagersEnters, maintains, and purges vendor promotions, discounts and list pricesInstitutes and maintains audit procedures in order to assure accurate and high-quality pricing dataCommunicates changes to key points of contact within and outside of the company as it relates to product and customer pricingResearches cost variations between system generated pricing and vendor expected pricing and implements solutionProduces price lists and quotes for customers and vendorsPerform miscellaneous analyses as requested as it relates to product pricingOther duties as assignedKey Competencies (knowledge, skills and abilities that every person in this position must possess in order to be successful)Works independently and generates conclusions around data to drive process improvement, systems improvement, greater profitability, and/or increased accuracy in support of pricing strategiesProven ability to deliver timely analyses with insights Demonstrates knowledge, skills and experience with pricing processes, systems and controls and the impact on value-captureLooks beyond conventional processes and/or systems to interpret customer needs and business challenges and assess requirementsHas in-depth experience, knowledge and skills in own job familyApplies knowledge and skills to a wide range of standard and non-standard situationsAbility to understand financials, cost to serve, inventory, and cash flow requirements.
