This position involves serving as a high level paraprofessional (providing special education support to a child with down syndrome) while in a typical classroom for a 6 year old going into second grade with down syndrome. This position is ONLY open to females as there is self hygiene involved. This position is employed by the family, not the school. The ideal candidate will assist in providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students with special needs.
This role includes in-person support to the one child and daily communication with the parents. The role requires someone of high energy, positivity, and with extreme patience. Also, someone that enjoys teaching, building a child's confidence and developing a child's overall skill set .

- Proficiency in American Sign Language is preferred
- Experience working with children, particularly those with special needs
- Knowledge of childcare practices and early childhood education
- Strong classroom management skills
- Ability to support curriculum development and implementation
- Understanding of math concepts to assist students as needed
- Passion for educating and empowering students with diverse learning needs
