Refugee & Immigrant Voices in Action (RIVA) exists to advance the lives of immigrants and refugees through collaborative action, advocacy, and leadership development.

Our vision is to empower our communities to access opportunities, build capacity, and grow leaders in Iowa. Using a collaborative peer-to-peer model, we build upon the existing strengths and expertise of ethnic communities.

Introduction:

Refugee & Immigrant Voices in Action (RIVA) is a grassroots coalition led by refugees and immigrants in Iowa. We are seeking proposals from qualified individuals or firms to provide grant writing, funding research, and management services.

Scope of Work:

The selected individual or firm will be responsible for the following:

• Identifying potential grant opportunities aligned with our organization's mission and goals. Writing and submitting high-quality grant proposals and applications to secure funding. Managing the grant application process, including ensuring compliance with submission requirements and deadlines.
• Developing and maintaining relationships with funding organizations and partners.
• Overseeing grant management, reporting, and ensuring grant-funded projects align with objectives.

Proposal Requirements:

Interested parties are requested to submit proposals containing the following:

• Overview of qualifications and experience in grant writing, fundraising, and managing grants within the non-profit sector.
• Detailed approach and strategy for identifying suitable grant opportunities and securing funding for RIVA
• Examples of successful grant applications and related documents previously prepared.
• Proposed timeline and methodology for executing grant writing and management tasks.
• Budget proposal outlining fees or compensation structure for services rendered.

Selection Criteria:

The selection of the Grant Writer/Finder/Manager will be based on the following criteria:

• Experience and track record in successful grant writing from federal and state agencies, foundations and corporations, and fundraising for unrestricted donations.
• Understanding of environmental conservation, immigrant and refugee rights, and community engagement.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and secure funding from diverse sources.
• Proposed approach and methodology.
• Budget considerations.
