Overview:

Brooksource is seeking a Level 3 Java Developer to join our Fortune 500 Telecomm client. This resource would be joining their APS OaaS Inventory Team, where you'd play a key role in supporting their Blue Planet implementation project.

Top Skills

• Extensive knowledge of Java (version 8), Spring boot and the Spring framework
• Experience with microservices including Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with REST APIs
• Any background with development for Network Inventory systems such as Blue Planet or other inventory systems would be a nice to have

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of Blue Planet across the Enterprise and NetOps organizations
• Responsible for helping to replicate the capabilities of the previous system, modernize features into microservices and customize the solution based on business requirements.
• Write clean, concise code that is stable, extensible and unit-tested appropriately
• Communicate frequently and effectively with other engineers on the team in addition to our product managers, scrum masters and project managers.
• Diagnose complex issues, evaluate, recommend and execute the best resolution
• Provides technical input on specific integration activities that are part of an engagement
• Manage detailed application requirements and collaborate with project /development teams to ensure quality function, features and user experience
• Test software to ensure proper and efficient execution and adherence to business and technical requirements
• Write code that meets the production requirements and design specifications and anticipate potential errors/issue
• Communicates across client community
• Establishes continuous integration, continuous delivery, and continuous deployment pipelines and practices

Team overview: Working closely with a team of 4-5 developers tied to the Blue Planet implementation. Also, working closely with the orchestration dev team of about 40 developers.

Interview Process : One hour long virtual interview and one hour long onsite interview
