POSITION SUMMARY: This is a full-time, $18 an hour position scheduled to work Monday-Friday, 8:00AM – 4:30PM, with a Work From Home day throughout the week. Flexibility to work additional hours/days during holiday seasons if necessary.

As a Purchasing & Inventory Coordinator, you will play a vital role in executing and overseeing inventory purchases and related processes. Your responsibilities will include creating purchase orders, monitoring inventory levels, reviewing invoices, managing logistics, item management, and collaborating with various departments. We are seeking a detail-oriented individual with strong communication skills and the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create purchase orders (PO) for inventory items and components.
• Submit PO’s to vendors via system EDI or email as appropriate.
• Monitor PO acceptance by vendor, address any vendor feedback.
• Create and monitor Work Orders for all items requiring assembly.

Monitor Inventory

• Review daily backorder reporting to identify items to be received or assembled
• Work with Operations/Assembly team on prioritization of tasks (e.g. backordered items requiring receiving/assembly tasks, allocation of components when constraints exist).
• Review inventory invoices
• Make adjustments to PO’s if necessary.
• Identify any vendor issues that might impact payment of inventory invoices.

Logistics

• Monitor in-transit shipments; communicate with 3rd party logistics providers as necessary to inquire about shipment status or shipping invoice questions.
• Select inbound freight bookings and review/approve bookings when requested.
• Prepare periodic detailed listing of all in-transit merchandise and report to finance.
• Partner with forwarders to optimize shipping routes.

Item Management:

• Set up new products in ERP system.
• Updating pricing as needed in ERP system.
• Working with Memphis assembly team on prioritization of tasks (e.g. backordered items requiring receiving/assembly tasks, allocation of components when constraints exist).
• Collaborate with Creative and Marketing departments on catalog editing process, checking for accuracy of items, retail prices, and inventory stock availability. Maintain detailed reporting on all items published in each catalog.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education and Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years' experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficiency in Excel required; experience with query-based software (e.g., MS Access, NetSuite) a plus.
• Ability to gather and analyze data.
